In the role you would be working closely in the development and support for individuals to identify pathways to wellbeing and employment. You would be empowering those to succeed in employment and celebrate their achievements and building relationships within the community.

About the role:

  • Mentoring and development support for individuals to identify pathways to wellbeing and employment.
  • Empower individuals to succeed and maintain sustainable employment through the identification of barriers and connecting individuals with support networks to address barriers.
  • Collaborating with key people in an individual’s life, including family members, employers, or other support services to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organisations, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and partnership.
  • Develop a mutually cooperative, supportive relationship by undertaking activities with jobseekers that involve that contribute towards improving jobseeker confidence, self-esteem, resilience, and acquisition of life skills.

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Certificate IV in Mentoring (desired)
  • Strong community knowledge and proactive approach to engagement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience working with diverse communities and understanding of cultural competency
